Tropical Storm Gustav: Our increased rain and wind forecast for Monday and Tuesday is based on the forecast position of Gustav. The forecast track of Gustav brings it to the coast of Terrebonne Parish on Tuesday morning as a category 3 hurricane. That position means more rain and wind in our forecast starting Monday, lasting through Tuesday. Through Sunday: Partly cloudy, hot and humid with very few if any showers and storms popping up in the area each day. Lows in the 70s and highs low 90s. Labor Day: Partly to mostly cloudy with increasing wind becoming 15-30 and gusty late Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will probably be scattered around the area. Tuesday: Tropical Storm conditions may be present in much of SE Louisiana with hurricane conditions Southwest of the metro N.O. area becoming major hurricane conditions in Terrebonne Parish. Wednesday and Thursday: Partly cloudy and warm with a few showers and storms scattered around the area each day.
