NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are investigating the shooting death of a 21-year-old man found Wednesday afternoon in Central City.

NOPD Officer Sabrina Richardson said the shooting happened just before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Dryades and Fourth streets.

Investigators responded to a call about a shooting and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency crews took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.

Police said there is no suspect or motive in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111.
