District Attorney Eddie Jordan has lost his appeal in a discrimination lawsuit.

Jordan fired dozens of white employees shortly after he took office in January 2003. The fired workers sued him in federal court and won.

The court ruled that Jordan must pay the employees millions of dollars in damages and back pay, a ruling that the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Wednesday.

A spokesman said Jordan would review the ruling and seek further legal action.
